Brittany is our Women’s Program Director and counselor who works hand in hand with our residents to help them learn how to live again. She believes that early recovery is a vulnerable & challenging time, and she knows that the right support is a crucial piece of the puzzle for many people.

Brittany first worked in substance use treatment at Cumberland Heights and then migrated into the world of recovery residences with Hope Homes. Now, she is fulfilling her life’s work by serving as a mentor, cheerleader, coach, and counselor for the women who come through New Vision Recovery.

Brittany has worked closely with the Tennessee Alliance of Recovery Residences (TN-ARR) for several years in an effort to ensure that we adhere to the highest standards in the industry. She currently serves on the internal assessments committee and as secretary for TN-ARR.

Brittany is a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist and is actively pursuing her LADAC (Licensed Alcohol and Drug Addictions Counselor).

Dr. Corey Emerick, PhD, LPC-MHSP, C-IAYT, RYT500

Clinical Consultant

Corey has a PhD in Clinical Counseling, a MA in Professional Counseling, and through the state of TN, she is licensed as a professional counselor (LPC-MHSP) with Approved Supervisor status. She has extensive training in Rapid Resolution Therapy/Rapid Trauma Resolution (RRT/RTR) and comprehensive training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Corey is also a certified yoga therapist (C-IAYT), a yoga teacher (RYT500), and a Reiki level I and II practitioner. To her, all the acronyms above, or as she playfully refers to them, her alphabet soup, are simply a way of communicating that there’s a very good chance she can help us help you on your recovery path.

She believes deeply in supporting our team at New Vision Recovery to walk with our residents, as they step into a life of wellness, self-care, and recovery from whatever brought them here. In alignment with our mission to create a place for residents to heal, Corey also shares our values of treating each resident with dignity and respect. We all believe that when we collaborate with our residents, teach them how to build a healthy community of peers, and connect them with qualified outpatient professionals, they are offered individual and communal building blocks that can cultivate a solid and healing foundation for their new way of living.

Additionally, Corey is the Clinical Director of The Collective, in Nashville, TN, an extended outpatient program that helps those struggling with anxiety and/or depression. She has been working in the counseling field for 12+ years,  across most levels of care, and has been a licensed counselor since 2011. In the past, her work was focused on those seeking healing from eating disorders, substance abuse, and personality disorders, as well as several underlying mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual challenges that often give birth to the more complex disorders/survival strategies mentioned above.
